Development of training materials in agriculture: a course manual by Anthony Youdeowei and Joseph Kwarteng 1995 104pp ISBN 92 9113 0729 WARDA 01 BP 2551 Bouaké 01 COTE D'IVOIRE and available from CTA
Training materials are teaching aids used during training to facilitate effective communication and learning. They are particularly useful in the agricultural technology transfer process, where they serve as essential tools in agricultural extension for training farmers. Development of training materials in agriculture is a course manual that was developed by the West African Rice Development Association (WARDA) through the collaborative efforts of training specialists at WARDA and other CGIAR centres. Although principally prepared for use by WARDA, this excellently written and illustrated manual is an invaluable aid for those whose task it is to develop and produce training materials. The manual is divided in two parts: Part 1 is divided into ten modules and covers the principles and procedures in developing training materials; and Part 2 consists of four modules covering the production of selected training materials (including training guides, newsletters, extension folders and visual aids).
