Abstract/Description
CCAFS South Asia partnered with Alternative Futures and the Bihar Mahila Samakhya to conduct a series of training-of-trainer workshops on the cross-cutting themes of gender, agriculture and food security. The trainings invited women elected leaders to learn about the overlaps between gender, climate change adaptation and governance and the differentiated abilities of men and women to tackle climate change. The idea is for them to be able to incorporate this information into regular village-level meetings and sensitize men and women in their communities about these cross-cutting issues.
