Report on the findings of the research review mission sent to the Middle East and North Africa to evaluate the status of existing research in the region and its capacity in addressing the problems of irrigated and rainfed agriculture. Research priorities identified by the mission are found to warrant establishment of a new IARC, the organizational structure, programs and budget requirements of which are considered. Important document to the decisions leading to the establishment of ICARDA in 1975. Agenda item presented at TAC Sixth Meeting, July - August 1973.
