Minutes of the International Centers Directors Meeting record extensive discussions related to US taxes, and Center Directors agree to file a joint US tax exemption application on behalf of all centers, seek a ruling on social security and on US$20,000 tax exemption for US citizen employees. A report by IIE on various consultations with the US government on tax issues and implications for international staff benefits is recorded. In other personnel related discussions, Center Directors agree to a salary equalization policy across the centers and to having common perquisites for outposted center staff.
