    Abstract/Description
    CGIAR news release describing an INIBAP initiative to send improved banana hybrid germplasm to India. The germplasm, produced by the breeding program of the Honduran Foundation for Agricultural Research, had resistance to diseases prevalent in India and would be classified by India's National Board for Plant Genetic Resources. INIBAP's involvement in a new national banana research center in South India is also mentioned.
